As you work to grow your natural food brand, you might ask yourself, “How can I survive with so much competition?” There’s good news—and then there’s even better news!

The good news is that these other food companies are not your enemy. You didn’t start your brand for the fight, you started down this path because you have a better product to offer the world and you want to shake up the grocery store shelves with products that are delicious and nutritious. Rather than focusing on competition, focus on where you and your product specifically meet your ideal customer’s needs in a way your competitors can’t – or won’t. If you do that, you will not only find more success as you connect with consumers, buyers, suppliers and investors, but you will be much happier along the way.

The even better news is that  many of these other brands and industry experts are willing to come together to help  support you  in your journey! A prime example of this is the annual Good Food Expo in Chicago, which is specifically catered to helping emerging food brands learn how to succeed in today’s competitive food market

If you weren’t attend the Good Food Expo this year, no problem.  In this episode Katie  Mleziva  gives you her key takeaways from a variety of panel sessions she attended. (If youd rather read than listen, you can check out Katies blog recapping the conference here.)
